Direct Printing from IBM® Mainframe or AS/400 Using IPDS

Do you print directly from an IBM®-Mainframe or AS-400? Chances are the continuous form laser printer attached to those computers have reached their end-of-life and is not supported by the manufacturer.

Continue using IPDS or AFP data streams from existing IBM® InfoPrint® 3000, IBM® InfoPrint® 4000, IBM® InfoPrint® 100, IBM® InfoPrint® 75 or OCE® Variostream systems. Your workflow stays the same.

Microplex has a wide range of print solutions offering integrated IPDS emulations for direct bidirectional communication from your IBM® host system and/or AFP software solution – no need for an external IPDS box.

The interaction between IPDS emulation host and printer is direct. Bidirectional communication is supported. The page acknowledgements are made when the page has exited the printer, ensuring a page-accurate restart of a print job.
