Recently we installed a significant upgrade for one of our valued customers in the food distribution sector. As a leading provider of distribution services to restaurants, schools, healthcare providers, and more across 13 centers in the eastern U.S., plus Oklahoma and Texas, our customer handles a vital workload that demands robust and reliable printing solutions.

To enhance their operational efficiency, Microplex has successfully replaced their aging fleet of OCE® 7170s and IBM®/Ricoh® Infoprint® 75 printers with our cutting-edge SOLID 85E printers. This strategic update not only boosts their printing capabilities but also supports their increased volume needs, especially in smaller distribution centers where they are transitioning from multiple thermal printers to our more efficient SOLID 85E.

The SOLID 85E is now at the heart of a crucial process: ensuring that all orders, batch-processed overnight on an IBM® Z Series mainframe, are printed and ready by 6 AM. These printers swiftly produce order sheets, carton labels, and freezer labels, facilitating quick and accurate order fulfillment.
