Overview Printer Languages (Emulations) and Barcodes

Emulations reproduce printers or printer languages of other manufacturers. In doing so, commands are implemented in such a way that a printout with the same appearance is produced.

One advantage of the Microplex controller is that these printer languages can also be used across different technologies. Thus, the processing of e.g. thermal printer data streams such as ZPL II – normally only feasible by means of corresponding thermal printers – is easily possible with a Microplex laser printer.

Conversely, applications that were previously realsized with a laser printer can be output with a thermal printer.

The basis for this implementation is Microplex’s own printer language IDOL.

Below you will find an overview of the printer languages and barcodes supported by Microplex.

Not all emulations and barcodes are stored as standard in every printer.
