Printing with SAP®- Easily realized with Microplex

Microplex offers a full range of printers with integrated SAP® compatibility across all technologies.

This means that all conceivable printing tasks can be printed directly from an SAP®-controlled system. Whether thermal printing, cutsheet laser printing or continuous laser printing, the connection is always made with integrated device types (e.g. HP®).

Maximum Performance of Microplex Printers with SAP® Device Types

Microplex printers print complex, variable data containing many barcodes, mostly in mission-critical applications. Therefore, maximum performance and short print times are very important

With Microplex printers this is very easy to realise. You can use device types that are standard and certified in the SAP® system.

In combination with the recommended coupling type L or C, you get maximum performance and complete print control in the SAP® system.

PDF® Direct Printing

Microplex PDF® Direct Printing allows users to print PDF® documents created by the SAP® system directly without opening the document in an application and no additional driver is required. Common applications such as PDF® Report Printing or PDF® Label Printing require a high standard of readability and security, which we ensure.

2-colour thermal printing with the logiJET TC8

The logiJET TC8 2-colour thermal printer is used for printing hazardous goods labels with coloured elements. This printer is installed in the system compatible with an HP colour printer. The device type for an HP5550 PCL harmonises smoothly with the logiJET TC8. The data is prepared in the SAP® printing system as for a colour printer and transferred to the microplex printer with high performance.

The certified SAP® driver for the HP Laserjet 4 (=PCL5) is used under SAP® R/3 to operate the 4″, 6″ and 8″ thermal printers from Microplex. This means that the user has considerably more options in terms of printing as well as formats. The SAP® support supports the functions of the HP Laserjet series PCL5. The printout is set up so that a label is positioned in the upper left corner of the format. Printouts printed on the device type “HPLJ : HP Laserjet series 4 – PCL5” are compatible with Microplex thermal printers in terms of fonts etc.

Similarly, Microplex thermal printers with their ZPL II emulation are compatible with Zebra ZPL II device types.

As Microplex thermal printers can handle large formats up to A4 (SOLID T8) as well as formats smaller than A6, a thermal printer from Microplex is an economical extension in print output, especially for smudge and scratch resistant nameplates as well as heat sensitive special materials.

Integrating Our Continuous Printer Models

Microplex continuous printers can be integrated into the SAP printing environment just as easily as thermal printers using SAP® proprietary device types. When it comes to replacing an old line printer with a Microplex continuous laser printer, the previous device type can usually continue to be used.

In the same way, it is possible to use a suitable device type for a line or matrix printer in a new installation that outputs IGP data to the terminal device, for example. The Microplex printers can be used in an IGP-compatible manner.

Cutsheet Laser Printing in the Production Environment

Our industrial cutsheet laser printers are characterised by extreme performance, high compatibility and economical printing. For use in time-critical applications (picking, production, delivery warehouse, etc.), these printers are ideally connected natively without having to provide for a Windows® spool system in the processing chain, for example. The SAP® device type ZHPLJ4 PCL generates the required print data up to A3, which is then output e.g. on a SOLID 105A3-2 without errors and under control of the SAP print system – just-in-time.

If a “standard” Microplex printer does not meet the requirements to fit into a specific application or there are special specifications, we are always able to customise our firmware according to the requirements of your application.
